So I Made a Big Blunder, Putting PRS-700BC Before the Amazon Kindle 2!

What was I thinking?

I mean, no dis-respect here to the PRS-700BC. It is a darn good ereader in its own right…but what was I thinking placing it before the Amazon Kindle?

Just so you don’t think I am biased or I am just talking out of my ass…

I will show you 9 reasons (facts) why the Amazon Kindle 2 is a more “buyable” device for me…and why it should probably be for you as well.

Here they are…

Reason#1:
Free 3G Wireless whispernet for immediate content access. No wireless on PRS-700BC

Reason#2:
Whispersync technology saves and synchronizes your reading location between your Kindle(s) and your iPhone. Not available on PRS-700BC

Reason#3:
Five-way master control for precise navigation, PRS-700BC has none

Reason#4:
Text -to- speech technology allows Kindle 2 to read to you. PRS-700BC does not.

Reason#5:

1500 books internal memory at a time plus unlimited automatic backup at Amazon.com for future download or for creating space on your device.

Prs-700BC holds 350 at a time.

Reason#6:
Immediate Kindle store access, 275,000 plus books, magazines, blogs at your finger-tips.

PRS-700BC 160,000.

Reason#7:
Free conversion of personal documents in a heartbeat by emailing it to “name of your kindle”@free.kindle.com. and have it email back to you.

Reason#8:
Has 16-level gray scales. PRS700BC has only 8.

Reason#9:
6 Fonts, PRS-700B has 5

Reason#11
These formats: HTML, PRC, Mobi, AZW, AAX are not available on PRS-700BC

So which will you choose?

I say try “em” both! What the heck. What have you got to lose? Nothing!

You can buy one use it for thirty days and if you are not happy with it, return it and get your money back.

If you do decide to keep it, you have a one year warranty!

I can never forget, when I bought into the Kindle1 and it froze on me a couple times.

Each time I called Amazon, they send me a brand new one. Eventually, they sent me a new device and refunded my money. I got my device free!

You see what I mean! These guys are out there to make money and they cannot afford to lose you as a customer, so they will do whatever it takes to get your business.

…but wait! With a whole lot of competition on the horizon, things are about to get really good for the customer. Oh yeah!

Can you say, price drop? Of course. That’s what happens when you have more products than demand. ..the price trickle right on down. Right down to where the common man can reach it.

And trust me, it won’t be long.

Soon you will have people from everywhere wanting an ereader. Believe me, it’s only a matter of time!

This world is going high tech and higher tech…and there’s no stopping it now!

You can believe me if you want, it won’t change what’s already happening. The train is moving, you can’t stop it. All you have to do is hop on and enjoy the ride!

Four Reasons why PRS 700BC is Better Than Kindle 2!

Okay, I know that I am going to get stoned for this but I am going to say it anyway.

I don’t know what all the hype is about the Amazon Kindle 2, when I can show you four reasons why Sony’sPRS700BC is a better device!

Reason #1:
It has an Interactive touch screen which allows you to turn pages by sliding finger across the screen, activate bookmark, create annotations with a virtual keyboard, highlight text with a stylus pen, and search for text.

Kindle 2 doesn’t…

Reason #2
It has a Built-In LED light that allows you to read at night.

Kindle has none!

Reason #3
It supports, BBeB(unencrypted),  AAC, ePub, and “real” PDF (not the experimental jibberish).

Kindle2 does not…

Reason#4
It has 2 slots – A SD slot and a memory stick Duo slot for storing extra content.

Kindle2 has none!

Forget all that wireless “stuff.” Who needs wireless? All you need to do is load up your content from your computer to your PRS700 BC before you leave and you have enough books to last you for months!

…unless, of course, you read 300 books in one month! Can you? I didn’t think so.

…and what about the idea of how much content is available. Good God! How much content do you need? I think that we are so spoiled that we get carried away with the “available content” crap.

It doesn’t matter, Sony or Kindle, you can find all the content you need “Free” or “paid.” All you have to do is look in the right places. If you don’t know where to look, ask somebody!

…then there’s this periodical and newspaper crap.

Okay, so PRS 700 Bc does not offer that, but have you see the formatting of these things on the amazon kindle? Trust me! Amazon can do better than that, but they don’t.  You know why…

because they don’t have any real competition yet, but don’t underestimate Sony and others!

Many are working on a device to handle that as we speak!

So, what do you think? I would love to hear your opinion!
